You are on our History Tour. Our History tours are divided into several short sections. The photographs in this section of the tour, were taken during the first few years of the 'new' Woodlands Primary School.

Recognise anyone in the photos? Perhaps you can share some memories with us, of Woodlands during the early years.

Mr Oldfield was our first Headmaster at the new Woodlands school. Mrs Ingram was our first school sectretary.

Penny on a visit to our school.
'I went to the school when it first opened and was in fact, the first pupil to enter the school! The workmen were fitting the mirrors in the cloakrooms and as the shortest girl in the school, I was used as a 'level'. At that time we were still using prefab buildings set around the playground. The head was Mr. Oldfield and he had been head at my previous school in Tonbridge before Woodlands was built.'
Penny (ex-pupil)
