Men's clothes made them look square. They wore short jackets and the shoulders of their coat were cut wide.

Women's clothing gave them a triangular shape. Their corsets were tight fitting while their petticoats and gowns were very wide

The rich would have their clothes made especially for them. There would have been second hand clothes shops for the poorer people. All clothes were hand made.
