The Final Report...

Apologies for the absence of a blog yesterday, but we were having far too much fun at Legoland and then at the disco in the evening.

More piccies of Thursday and Friday!

First off... LEGOLAND

Then once all dressed up and well fed (and FINALLY allowed to visit the tuck shop) the disco got under way and afterwards (due to thunder storm delaying us leaving the sports hall) a few impromptu games of basketball and footie kept everyone entertained...

Friday morning came round all too soon...

Packed up before breakfast and then spent the morning doing more of the fun activities on the PGL site.

Now we're all back home - pleased to see parents and siblings!
There will be a further addition of 'Highlights' later in the summer holidays (but they'll have to wait until I get back from Honeymoon!)

Day Three and a Trip to the Isle of Wight

It looked like it was going to be a disaster weather-wise as we made our way down the A3 towards Portsmouth in the pouring rain! Thankfully, as we pulled into the city the sun began to shine and the clouds cleared.

The ferry crossing was a little choppy (and Mr Waterman discovered that he would not be joining the Royal Navy anytime soon!) but everyone else travelled well!

Robin Hill Country Park was an overwhelming success - particular highlights included the Toboggan Run, Hill Billy Slides, Colossus Galleon Ship and Time Machine simulation ride.

Arriving back to the site the children played games with their group leaders, Joe & Katie, and then after dinner, a few minutes to tidy rooms for daily room inspection (and an unscheduled Fire Drill - to which they responded with the true Woodlands' high standards), the children have spent the evening as participants in the 'Have A Go Show'.
More piccies to enjoy and a video too! (Miss B's first attempt so apologies if it doesn't work!)

Day Two at Marchants Hill and the fun continues...!

The morning started with a few showers, but we didn't let that dampen our spirits! There was so much to look forward to today.

The afternoon brightened up and we enjoyed some sunny spells - at times quite warm.

Here we are enjoying all the fantastic facilities at the PGL site. We've been doing a variety of different activities: from Quad biking to the Giant Swing; Zip Wire to Shelter Building in the woods; and Trapeze to Aeroball. Here are some photos of the activities we've been doing. Everyone has had a brilliant time, many children and staff have challenged themselves making fantastic personal achievements!

Again we've eaten well - delicious food (Roast Chicken or Vegetable Lasagne or Cornish Pasty tonight). The children are currently involved in an orienteering activity where they are exploring the site and following a treasure hunt of clues to locate flags from around the world.

Off to bed soon - looking forward to a good night's sleep (surely we have worn them out enough today!!!)

Safely arrived.... A successful first day!

We have arrived at Marchants Hill! The children were fantastically well behaved and had a super day at HMS Victory. We looked around the interactive galleries and were entertained by the Trafalgar Experience.

After settling in to their rooms, the children have all had a hearty meal this evening and are enjoying some 'Wacky Races' with superhero supervisors!

Here are a few piccies of our first day.... Will be adding more tomorrow after all the fun of on site activities
