Newsletter 5, published on 9th October 2009, is now available to view. Features this week include reports on our amazing Book Week and Book Character Day, special visitors meeting Year 6, our Harvest Festival, and this week's Charity Stall.

Also there is a request for help for the forthcoming Book Fair, a message regarding Secondary School transfer and a road safety message.

Year 6 visit Chatham Dockyard

On Tuesday 29th September, Year 6 visited Chatham Dockyard. Throughout the day, the children enjoyed lots of activities which involved attending different workshops. The workshops were about rationing (where the children were treated to War times foods!), walking on HMS Cavalier, dancing and singing along to War music (including Glenn Miller and Bud Flanagan), and taking shelter in one of the many underground shelters at the Dockyard.

Y5 Taster Day

Note to Parents. Please remember that if your child is visiting Hugh Christie on Monday 22nd June, you need to make your own arrangements to get your child to the College and collect them at the end of the day.

Y5 Taster Day

A reminder that the Year 5 Taster Day takes place on Thursday 18th June 2009 at Hillview and Hayesbrook Schools.

Please note that coach transport is provided for all children visiting Hayesbrook and Hillview Schools on that day. Your child must come into Woodlands first for registration and they will be dismissed as normal from Woodlands at 3.15 pm.
