On Wednesday 15th November the whole of year 5, their teachers and some valiant parent helpers rose early and peeped through the curtains to see if the incessant rain had stopped. Our luck was in; it had; although what greeted us was a typical November cold and frosty morning.
Making sure we had our packed lunches and drinks (they have been known to be left behind), we rushed eagerly to school. Boarding the coaches we watched as the other year groups trudged into school passed us.
We were off, and couldn’t wait to get up to London. Unfortunately due to the traffic we did not arrive as early as we had hoped and Mrs Wells led us on the double pace walk along the embankment to reach our goal.
