Woodlands is 50!
On 10th September 1964 Woodlands Junior School opened with 105 children and four teachers. To celebrate our 50th anniversary we shall be holding a variety of events throughout the 2014/15 year. Please put Saturday 27th September in your diaries for an afternoon of events to start the celebrations!
On addition to all our ex-pupils and families, we are looking forward to welcoming over 100 staff and governors to the school on September 27th 2014, to celebrate 50 Years of Learning at Woodlands Junior School.
From 2pm we will entertain you with music from our choirs, bands and instrumentalists, as well as a performance from the 17th Tonbridge Scout and Guide band.
Present Year 6 pupils will act as tour guides to show you round the site, and will be keen to record your memories of your Woodlands days.
We hope to build a considerable collection of memories during this 50th year in order to create an interactive time capsule presentation on our website.
Some photos and artefacts will be on display but please bring along your own photos and memorabilia to show others. If you wish to display any items please make sure they are labelled with your name and contact details.
Light refreshments for all will be available from 2pm onwards
Parking on site will be restricted so please park in local streets if possible. Gates on both sides of the school site will be open for convenient access. We have a limited number of disabled parking spaces.
Souvenir mugs and pens will be on sale to help you remember this special day.
We hope to see many of you here on the day!
