Headteacher's Question of the Term

Here is this term's Headteacher’s ‘Question of the Term’. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to let their imaginations run wild and enjoy researching around a subject - and then think creatively about an unusual way of presenting their findings.

Mrs Priestley is really looking forward to seeing the results of their endeavours – all of which will be displayed in the hall. It would be lovely if we could have a response from all the children.

Term 1

Headteacher’s Question of the Term
Autumn 2009

The theme for my first question is all about our Living Planet - Animals.

Our planet has thousands of species of amazing animals – what can you find out about them?

  • What is the most intelligent non-human animal?
  • What is your favourite animal? Find out about it – where does it live? What does it eat? What does it look like?
  • What animals are the most endangered? What can you find out about them?
  • What animals are found in Australia? (or China, or Greenland, or anywhere else you would like!)

Present your findings in an exciting and eye-catching way. Surprise me...

  • Make a model
  • Write a leaflet
  • Design a poster
  • Use lego, papier-mâché or clay

Hand to me by Wednesday 2nd December (so certificates can be written before the end of Term 2).

Thank you!

Mrs Priestley
Headteacher
