Newsletter 14 - 18th December 2009

Thank you very much for your understanding this morning, following our school closure. I do hope that you have taken the opportunity to have some fun in the snow……...

Christmas Pantomime – Years 5 & 6

We all thoroughly enjoyed this year’s epic performance by the children in years 5 and 6! The children worked so hard to prepare themselves and I know that they really enjoyed taking part in the show. We were so disappointed that, despite our best intentions, we were unable to get all the children on for the grand finale- time had just run away with us. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to help the children give such a memorable performance.

Demelza House Collection

Thank you all so much for your generosity in donating money at the two Christmas Performances. We have been delighted to donate £417.51 to Demelza House.

Panto Props

A huge thank you from Mrs Allen and Years 5 and 6 for your generosity in lending us some wonderful props for the ‘Pantocrime’ performances. We made good use of them. I’m sure you enjoyed watching the panto as much as we enjoyed working “behind the scenes”.

Christingle – Thursday 17th December

We had a super Christingle service yesterday which culminated in twenty four children lighting their candles. It was a lovely finish to the school year.

RM Maths Club

Mrs. Allen is very proud that the children who attend this Y6 Club are doing so well. They are very keen to do their best and it shows in their performance in Maths. The Club will resume on Monday 4th January at 8.30 a.m. Mrs. Allen would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents/carers for supporting the children’s learning in this way.

School Uniform Fleeces

Can I remind you that we will be ordering more fleeces in January. Should you wish to place an order, please call into the School Office for a form.
